How I approach my work

Start by creating clarity

When problems are loosely defined, I work with stakeholders to clarify the problem, constraints, and what success actually looks like before jumping into execution.

I help teams and stakeholders set metrics, understand goals, and outline expectations. When everyone understands each others motivations, finding solutions that serve everyone’s needs becomes possible.

Focus on alignment and understanding

Different teams often want different things. My role is to surface tradeoffs, clarify ownership, and get people aligned enough to move forward — even when perfect agreement isn’t possible.

When people understand why they’re being asked to compromise, they’re more likely to contribute and collaborate.

Think big, plan practically

Shoot for the moon, and understand that space travel is a big undertaking. Don’t shy away from complex, game-changing projects but don’t go in to them without the support and planning needed to make them successful.

Facilitate communication

I act as a central point of coordination, translating between teams and sharing information at the right time so decisions don’t stall. I help teams collaborate and find shared solutions. I ensure hand-offs between teams are smooth.

Make progress that matters

Teams become disengaged, executives get frustrated, everyone feels like they’re just a cog in the machine when the work they do isn’t tied to concrete outcomes and forward motion.

I keep projects focused on delivering real results, not just completing tasks or hitting arbitrary milestones.

More about me

I live in southern New Hampshire with my spouse, my cat, three ducks, and a goose. When I’m not at work, I tend to my growing collection of houseplants, volunteer with local organizations such as the Affirming Spaces Project, and create fiber art.
